We would have preferred a brash view

This is the second time we have stayed at the Grand Dunes. We were there one year ago, liked the property and returned this year. It had an old time style from the lobby to the rooms. This year we found the room to be quite neglected. The items we noted were as follows: The shower door would not close and had about a 6" gap. The iron had the pointed end broken completely off. The TV cabinet doors were hanging by only one hinge so it could not be closed. We stayed in the room and made the best of it. I did however speak with the front desk and she was very attentive to my concerns. She shared with me that starting this August they will be going through a major renovation for the entire place.

Everything was perfect 10 out of 10 would not change anything

On the beach great. Clean for the most part. They do not tell you until after you make reservations that the property is under construction. You can't use any balcony, so having ocean front viewing is useless and unless you pay the extra fine to cancel reservations you are stuck with it. You can not check in at property. You have to drive to a different location for key pickup and drop-off.
